Branding

I created comprehensive branding, collateral, and web design & development for the World Beach Games San Diego, using the logo and brand guidelines developed by JTA Design Agency in Madrid, Spain. When Qatar replaced San Diego as the host, JTA Design updated the branding to incorporate the “Q” from “Qatar” into the logo.

Iconography

I designed custom branded iconography for 17 disciplines, including handball, karate, soccer, tennis, volleyball, wrestling, aquathlon, basketball, bouldering, skateboarding, cycling/BMX, kite surfing, longboard surfing, shortboard surfing, paddle boarding, wakeboarding, and waterskiing.

Collateral

The brand collateral expanded into digital and print materials, including promotional posters with augmented reality that triggered a video when scanned with a smart phone, as well as a Sponsorship Opportunities document, motion graphics, stationery, and merchandise—t-shirts, hoodies, water bottles, mugs, hats, sandals, towels, and more.

Web Design

I designed and developed the ANOC World Beach Games San Diego website, which featured a mascot design contest, donation and volunteer sections, a video gallery, an interactive map of all programmed events in Mission Bay—including 17 land and ocean disciplines—and a consistent brand identity throughout.
